So don't forget my friends. I play tomorrow in Federal Hill, thanks to Eric Willison of Umbrella Radio for having me & many other local Baltimore artist to rock out the Festival. Hopefully the rain would stop and we can all enjoy helping out our 4 legged best friends =)

Album Info:
Today I get to go into the studio with Kristen Jones, who will lay down her amazing Cello tracks for not one, but TWO songs "Cookies On Monday" & "Beautiful Mercy". I am so very excited about this, I might even lay down some vocals today, we'll see.
The album name is causing me so much pain =)..this morning as I was driving in the darkness of this rainy morning a name popped out in my head, that kind of makes sense, a little bit.
"Land of Mary"
Now those of you who know me, have heard this name before, in the past I was contemplating putting a band together and calling it that. But when I think about this it tends to fit. All the songs on this album I had written while residing in "Maryland", so I thought of calling it that..BUT..you know me =).
Also I noticed the number 3 was frequent...for example, I have 3 female guest artists "Acacia Sears", "Heather Lloyd" of ilyAIMY, & "Kristen Jones". Also I have 3 love songs for the 3 young ladies I've dated. That's why I thought of "Land of Mary", because they are mostly songs about women and Maryland. But I also worry that it may sound like a gossbile album, because its TOTALLY not.
So its kind of a toss up between "Land of Mary" & "The Un-Genre"

New Song:
So I surprised my self by writing a new song in 48 freakin hours. I'm so happy that my muse is back. The song is for the Java Mammas monthly challenge, the topic for September is "Tears In My Pancakes". The twist I put was this...when someone cries, and the tears hit the mattress, they form circles, which kind of resemble "pancakes"..so I made sure to reference the words "tears" & "circles" in the song. Also I use the line "syrups of sadness"..right now that's the name of the song, but I might change it back to the original working title "smitten", I still have a few weeks before making my decision =).
I got to debute it yesterday to the late night dwellers of the Java Mammas open mic, it was Sherrie, Jess, Ana, Rick Millman, & Rob of ilyAIMY. They all seemed to approve of the song, sweet. All I need to do now is work on my perofrmance of the song, I still think its a little raw, because I'm still getting comfortable with the lyrics, so wish me luck.

Recording later today (God Willing), I have a gig tomorrow in Federal Hill, & a new song is very nicely brewing =). The official debute would be on Thursday October 1st, thats the new song night at the Java Mammas Open Mic, and it will be wonderful.
