Saturday show at Teavovle:
The show with Teporah went really well, a lot of new faces were there, including people from New Nork, and even from my work (thanks Angela). I've met some new people that night, and after the show sahffi & I drove up to an open mic called The Parkside? to promote the Saturday gig, it was a very cool night.
Sunday Show at Austin Grill:
Oh man, last night was amazing.
Thank you sahffi for asking me to play this event. We all had a blast, I got to open up the whole show with an almost hour long set, accompanied by my friend Daveed on percussion. Then I got to sit in with sahffi as part of a 2 man percussion set PLUS beat boxer Chuck The Madd Ox. The JV Myka Project then took the stage and rocked out the house. As the break down of the set, the amazing Marc Evans grabbed a mic and totally blew everyone away, as he and The Madd Ox played their signature medley of old school beat boxing + vocals.
Amazing night, many of my good friends were there, including Hanna Spiro who drove all the way up here to support me (thanks Hannah, you rock), as well as my big brother bear Ali & the always wonderful Chas.
My good friend Brennan of Petal Blight did a great job running sound for us (your best Brenadandan!). I secretly got addicted to the strawberry limeade, I had like a HUNDRED, and by that I mean 4 (thanks Tori) =)
Thank you all so much coming out, it was a great night and I for see many more of such nights coming out.
