OH my God,
Takin' It To The Streets 2010 was AMAZING. Chicago was beautiful, 4 big stages, 100 acts, free for everyone to see. I got to meet some amazing artist from all over the place, including Brother Ali, The Narcicyst (from canada), my friend Omar Offendum (from L.A.), and I even ran into my old friend Kevork, who landed us an interview with Voice of America :)
One of the acts called The Reminders had a very slick rap that is STILL stuck in my head "Text streets to 5-0-5-55 One Chicago One World lets keep it alive" :)
bascially it was an advertisment for people to donate $10 through their phones to keep this Bi-Yearly event happening.
Much thanks to NasJota Records for making this happen, and for Fatso for having sahffi & I as his back up band. We had so much fun, and I can't wait for my next musical adventure.
As soon as E-hab of NasJota posts the video online, I will make sure to post it up here for you all.
